This past monday, Family Day in Ontario, I went to the Canadian Raptor Conservancy for a photo event. Wonderful opportunity to practice just about every setting my camera has, from auto to manual, all the different focusing modes. I dare say, one of hte toughest things to do is catch a bird in flight. And I can say that there are some autofocusing modes that produce amazing shots. Despite the dark-ish and rainy day, the results were beyond my expectations.

There have been people, causes, reasons throughout my life to be interested in creating images. Many times I have practically walked away from it because I get the "You should..." or "Why aren't you...?" statements which infer that since I am into photography I should be the 'official photographer' of a certain event. It often leads me to just leaving the camera at home, then later, regretting that I didn't have it handy because there was something I really wanted to capture, whether related to the event or not. But then I have also had various Muses in my life which make me WANT to create photographs. Whether they instill a certain creativity or give me a certain pride in my OWN vision of something... And it is wonderful. The best muse I had in my life gave me such a spiritual connection to what I photographed.
