Hockey heroes game. Andrew had his few seconds of fame when he potted a goal off the stick of John Ogrodnick.

Here is the video that I put together of the clumb up Mt. Washington. Recommended for everyone. New Hampshire at the peak of fall colours (right around Canadian Thanksgiving) is amazing. Link to Vimeo It has been a year of re-building. A year of self-evaluation. A year of re-focusing. I usually put together a calendar of 12 photographs for friends and family each year, and in December I realized that I really hadn't taken any pictures to speak of. Sure, I went out once in a while. Sure, there were events and our trip to Algonquin, and to Mt. Washington. But in general - I didn't have anything that I thought could stand out as being good - or at least satisfying myself as decent photos. Disappointing to say the least.
guess I could say that being more of a nature photographer and the crappy summer and all, but in reality - I just didn't get it done. My New Years' resolution: 1080p :). Just kidding - I really need to brush off my passions, and get out to take photos that aren't just from a formula. Too many times I found myself saying "put it into the third of the frame", or something like that, rather than really composing something with emotion in it. If I fancy myself as a photographer - it is the kind of photographer with a story to tell, and not just some guy with a bunch of big-ass camera stuff. More pictures, more videos, and more nature. I will work at trying to capture this little guy (above) actually catching something this year, in full colour. Read more, learn more and get out more. Happy New Year! |
