yI have heard it before. I have, since I got back into photography always had a pretty decent camera. In fact, I think I have always used a camera that is state of the art. Recently I upgraded to full-frame, many, many, many pixel camera. For those who seem to think that the better equipment, the better the photo.... I can tell you that it is simply NOT TRUE!
Sure, a mega big-a$$ camera can capture a whole lot. And if you get it right, it can capture a whole lot of really nice photograph, but you also have to realize that it also greatly magnifies every little mistake you made, making you wonder why you paid so much in the first place. I got myself a Canon 5DS R, 50Mpix body last week. I am stoked. Wow - it can capture some amazing detail. But toss the focus off a bit, or don't use a tripod when you should, and it can capture every little flaw in your technique. I am going to have a ton of fun (and frustration no doubt) learning all about what I can and can't do with this beauty over the summer. Also: For a great laugh about photography... this one is an oldie, but funny: https://youtu.be/niyTIbiV19A
