Much of this information is currently under review - just to be sure I am up to speed with current techniques etc.
Good Reads:
- "The Best of Adobe Photoshop; Techniques and Images from Professional Photographers" by Bill Hurter
- "Adobe Photoshop CSx for Photographers" by Martin Evening. (one of the best reference books you can own)
- "Light: Science and Magic: An Introduction to Photographic Lighting" by Fil Hunter and Paul Fuqua. (everything about lighting)
- "Within the Frame - The Journey of Photographic Vision" by David duChemin. I recommend this to anyone who has taken one of Bob Hundert's courses. This reinforces much of the Niagara and the Algonquin learnings. Enjoy it - I did
- "Photography Foundations for Art & Design" by Mark Galer. Excellent read with lots of challenging assignments.
- Great read if you are thinking of trying to make money from photography: "Vision Mongers" by David duChemin
- Also had the pleasure to read "Nature Photography" by Chris Weston. Excellent - very well presented concepts what really make sense.
- "Photographically Speaking" by David duChemin. All his books are worth reading.

For Podcasts:
Have you ever just listened to someone talk photography while you're doing something else. Last summer (coincidentally as I was taking a course on theory and history) I listened to the history podcasts, all 12 or so, while I did my running. I did learn from the podcasts. It's different from music while you run, try it out. Anyhow, here are a couple of sites with interesting podcasts, both audio and video.
